Suzanne Pinel is probably best known for her work in television and the arts. Her popular children’s series, Marie-Soleil, (145 episodes) has entertained children for two decades on both English and French television networks. She has released 15 albums and 4 videocassettes, along with educational materials for schools. Ms. Pinel has co-authored an educational music program for primary schools: Musique s’il vous plaît, and has composed 90 songs for Dimoitou, an educational program for the teaching of French as a second language.
She was an active member of several boards of administration and has participated in numerous events and telethons to raise awareness on behalf of organizations such as: Children Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Child and youth Friendly Ottawa.
